Prabhat Pheri organized to celebrate Prakash Parv

The staff and the residents of Sector 25 cluster of Girls Hostels 8, 9, 10 and International hostel organized a Prabhat Pheri to celebrate the upcoming Prakash Purab (birth anniversary) of Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji on Friday (23-12-2022). The procession started from Gurdwara Shri Muktsar Sahib, Panjab University Chandigarh at around 5:15 am. The Sangat (devotees) comprised students of Panjab University along with the residents of flats and members from the gurdwara committee. Reciting sacred songs with musical instruments, the Sangat was welcomed by the hostel residents at Amrita Pritam Hall (GH-9). During the Prabhat pheri, devotees recited the 'Gurbaani' from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, followed by ardas and prasad. Gurupurab is an occasion for prayers and recitation of hymns and remembering the Guru. On this occasion, the people of the Sikh community extend their greetings to each other and vow to follow the path of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
